How do i get rid of inapropriate texts so my parents cant read them?

I had some inapropriate and dirty texts sent to my phone and i sent some bad ones aswell, but now i found out that my stepmom started downloading them and reading, but i really dont want her to read them is there anyway i can erase the messagges completely? Please i need help!!!
