Why don't anti-gun politicians try to repeal the 2nd amendment instead of ping unconstitutional gun laws?
I'm a gun owner and I'm absolutely puzzled by the statements made by anti-gun politicians. Instead of trying to p gun laws of questionable constitutionality, why don't anti-gun politicians have a serious debate about repealing the 2nd amendment? In my opinion, that would make a lot more sense than ping laws and having long court battles that deal with the constitutionality of the law afterwards. I understand that repealing the 2nd amendment would take 20-30 years to actually accomplish, but wouldn't it be better in the long run since it would clear up questions about the constitutionality of gun laws? I just feel that it would be better for anti-gun politicians be truly honest and say what's really on their mind (which is that the 2nd amendment is an archaic remnant from revolutionary times). Don't you think that they should be more honest about their intentions?
