On my guitar pedal configuration, do I want my overdrive before my compressor(Boss CS-3) or after?

Overdrive after compressor makes more sense: overdriven sound gets the fatness from being clipped at maximum volume anyway, so there are no highs for the compressor to tame, if you put it after.
