Sims 3 Huge Bug? Houses unplayable!?

I've been playing the sims 3 for a while now and one particular bug is really annoying me. When i add a house(that I've got off the sims resource) into sunset valley or anywhere else the house sinks into the ground. The terrain lowers making it impossible for the sims to enter the house. Please help me find a solution. Thanks :)
