Squishy, cute, or blue eyes?

I understand it to a point, because everyone wants a dog they find appealing to the eye, but once you have it narrowed down to a few Breeds you find visually appealing you need to then research and find which one will fit into your lifestyle. I also love a dog with a squishy face, short tail, and a short coat. I have done a lot of research into quite a few breeds that fit this description. There are a few I could own who will fit into my lifestyle, but there are others who would not. I have owned a Bulldog, and now have 2 Boxers. They were both different breeds, but both fit fine into my lifestyle. I would not own a Shar-Pei though. I think they are gorgeous but there is way to many health issues there, and they tend to be way to protective and aggressive. I just do not want to have to deal with all the issues and training involved. I have 4 small kids and I do a ton of research on any breed I like. I am researching right now on breeds I like, and may or may not own down the road, and I mean years down the road. You can never do enough research. I understand wanting a pet you find pleasing on the eyes, but you must research it too, impulse buys is why so many pets are abandoned every year.
