Who should direct and act in The Halo Movie?

I never even thought about Ridley Scott. I'm now ashamed to say who I think should do it. I heard Peter Jackson was directing it. And I do not see Christian Bale as Master Chief. I see James McAvoy as Chief, and Kiera Knightly is the best bet for Cortana.
